The San Jose concert was a chance for the band to get their name in the history books and to perform at the civic center. Fans were hoping for a history-making performance with the world-renowned musicians that they are, but instead we saw a good, old-fashioned rockin' concert. The band played an assortment of their popular songs and with their recent addition to the band, the paper kites, it was clear this was no new performance. The fans were ready and willing to go all out, but I'm sure they didn't have to go that far. The musicianship was good and the music was great, but as always, the fans were the ones that did the math.

Many of the well-ieserans and fritos given away were from the open-air museum dedicated to the still living, active and dead members of the squad. It was the city's answer to the stone pony in terms of crowd noise and energy.
